Writing Assignment 3 Write about your plans for your next break from school (upcoming winter or next summer). This must be 1.5 - 2 sheet long (600 ~ 800 characters). It should be written in plain forms. Please refer to this page for information on the essay paper. It is important to use the grammatical structures that you've learned. Start by thinking what you can say with what you already know, rather than writing your essay in English and then translating it into Japanese. Make sure that you use the correct plain forms. Also remind yourself that と only connects nouns (or noun phrases). If you want to connect verbs and adjectives, you need to use the て forms. Thus, "My friend and I" is 「ともだちとわたし」, but "I ran and swam." is 「はしっておよいだ。」 Wrting assignment drafts always must be hand-written. A digital version is never accepted for this course. A digital submission of a scanned pdf copy is not accepted until you are instructed to do so. First draft due November 11; Final draft due November 28.
